Rangers' Ianis Hagi helped Romania secure a 1-1 draw and win Group E at Euro 2024.

Trailing 1-0, Romania won a penalty when Hagi was fouled by David Hancko and Razvan Marin converted eight minutes before the break.

Hagi was substituted for the final 24 minutes.

All four teams in Group E finished on four points but Romania had the highest goal tally while sharing the best goal difference with second-placed Belgium, who drew 0-0 with Ukraine.

Slovakia progress as one of the four best third-placed sides with Ukraine finishing bottom.

Romania will play the Netherlands in the round of 16 and could meet Austria or Turkey in the quarter-finals.
