In the wake of signing his new long-term contract, Erling Haaland says his focus is now firmly fixed on becoming an even better player and continuing his quest to help City achieve more success.
The Norwegian striker has committed his long-term future to City by signing a new 10-year contract, one that will keep him at the Etihad through to the summer of 2034.
Haaland’s follows on the back of what has been an incredible first two and half years at City for the 24-year-old following his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022.
As well as helping City to the Treble in his debut season followed by an unprecedented fourth straight Premier League title last term, Haaland has also netted 111 goals to date for the Club, breaking a host of individual records along the way.
But in the wake of signing the new deal, Erling says his hunger and desire to keep improving has only intensified.
“It has been amazing, and it's been it's been like a dream these two past two and a half years but I'm really looking forward to what's next and for the future,” Haaland declared.

“I'm going to stay for a long time so now I can fully focus on getting better because [I know] I'm going to stay for such a long time.
“So, [the] full focus [is] on performing and getting better and to give all the fans what they want.”
Haaland has already lifted his own game and impact to incredible heights in his first 30 months here at City, not just with his goals but with his all-round play and infectious attitude and desire.
For his part, Erling he believes working day in, day out under manager Pep Guardiola has been the catalyst behind both his and City’s relentless quest to continue seeking to improve.
“Yeah, I've improved a lot. It's so nice to work with Pep, not only because he's the best, but he's also the most hardworking person I've ever seen,” Haaland added.
“You know, people think it's only because he's this or that, but the amount of hours he puts down is also motivating and it's also inspiring as well to see.
“It's funny to work with him. It's hard, it's tough because he demands a lot, but that's what I want.
“I want people to demand a lot from me and to put pressure on me. And yeah, so far so good.”
The epitome of a team player, Haaland also reiterated how City’s success over the past few years had been built on the collective – and how that sense of togetherness underscored the special team spirt at the Club.
“It's a team sport football,” Haaland stressed.
“Without a team, you have no chance in football and that's also what you've been seeing from this club.
“You need every single player, and you need the team to perform well. Just like when we won the Treble, it was all about the team. Every single game.
“And that's the most important thing - the team to perform well and to be in a good team spirit who wants to perform and wants to become better.”
