“The guy’s unbelievable” – Madueke names best player he’s ever played with, and it’s not Palmer
Noni Madueke has named Chelsea legend Thiago Silva as the best player he’s ever played with during his fledgling career in the game.
The winger has been fortunate to share the pitch with a number of top players during his time at Chelsea, with the current squad containing some of the best talent in European football.
The 22-year-old is very much a key part of that under Enzo Maresca and has shown reals signs of maturity and improvement so far this season.
Madueke names the best player he’s played with
Madueke has made an impact in attack for the Blues this season with six goals and four assists in 20 appearances in all competitions.
The former PSV man has started 13 out of 17 league games and his form has seen him make his England debut and become part of the national team set-up, although Maresca did question his levels in training after the win against Southampton.
Madueke plays with some great attacking players at Chelsea including the likes of Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho, but it’s Silva he names as the best player he’s ever played with.
“The best player I’ve played with, I’d probably have to give it to Thiago Silva,” he told Amazon Prime Video Sport.
“The guy’s unbelievable. I used to go against him in training sometimes and think this man’s double my age. He can still take the ball off me. I think I’m pretty good with the ball at my feet, so it was just mad.
“Obviously his leadership as well. Just his ability. Like the things he was doing in training, his technique and stuff, unbelievable.
“He’s a great captain figure. With me he was always perfect with me. Always encouraged me since I got here. He was a great player and a great leader. A great person to have around.”
