One of the Oklahoma Ruf/Neks went for a wild ride during Saturday’s game against Oklahoma State.

After a first-quarter touchdown, Oklahoma brought out the Sooner Schooner to celebrate. The Ref/Nek holding the OU flag somehow fell out of the back of the Schooner while it was in motion. One of his buddies held his legs as he hung from the back of the wagon. The Ruf/Neks (OU’s male spirit squad) dutifully continued waving the flag like a champion.

Here’s a longer video via ESPN. What a legend:

As the Schooner went into the tunnel, it slowed down a bit and the flag guy somehow emerged unscathed.

Tremendous all the way around.

Oklahoma scored two more touchdowns in the first half. Things presumably went much better for the Ruf/Neks.
