GSFN LaLiga team of the week: Matchday 4

After an eventful weekend in Spanish football, we took a look at the league’s top performers, in our Get Spanish Football News Team of the Week:

GK: Paulo Gazzaniga (Girona)

Keeping a clean sheet away at the Ramón Sanchéz-Pizjuán is always difficult, and doing so as your team wins 2-0 is even more impressive.

DF: Jules Koundé (Barcelona)

With a goal and a clean sheet as part of his side’s 7-0 hammering of Real Valladolid, it was a successful day at the office for Jules Koundé.

DF: Pau Cubarsí (Barcelona)

A mature performance from the 17-year-old to keep things tight at the back and look at home in the Barca defence.

DF: Antonio Raillo (Mallorca)

A no-nonsense performance to captain his side to an important 1-0 win away at Leganés.

DF: Miguel Gutiérrez (Girona)

An assist in his side’s away win at Sevilla earns the defender his spot in the team of the week.

MF: Lamine Yamal (Barcelona)

Yamal continues to shine as he assisted two of Barca’s goals in their demolition of Real Valladolid.

MF: Dani Olmo (Barcelona)

The midfielder looked right at home in only his second match as he made it onto the scoresheet once again.

MF: Raphinha (Barcelona)

The hat-trick hero produced the stand-out performance of the week with an assist to put the cherry on top.

MF: Federico Valverde (Real Madrid)

A solid midfield performance as Real Madrid got back on track with a home win. That assist was one of the highlights of the week.

FW: Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid)

The Frenchman finally breaks his duck and gets off the mark in LaLiga with a brace against Real Betis at home.

FW: Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona)

A goal and an assist for the Pole who looked back to his best in Barcelona’s resounding win.
