Greg Cote Show: Special edition of Hard Knocks! Greg addresses Florida Panthers about Game 7, McDavid

The latest episode of the Greg Cote Show podcast is out now, and -- dropping on the day the Florida Panthers play the biggest game in their 20-year history -- it, too, is historic and of epic magnitude.

The Panthers host the Edmonton Oilers Monday night in a winner-take-all Game 7 in the NHL’s Stanley Cup Final, and our episode features a special “Hard Knocks / Panthers” in which Greg is invited by Panthers coach Paul Maurice to address the team with a motivational speech on the eve of the championship-or-bust game.

Hear live what led to the invitation and Greg’s speech to the Cats in a GCS podcast exclusive.

Afterward, Greg talks about his Connor McDavid “McOverrated” drama that has run throughout the Final, and the guys discuss their emotion, anxiety and thoughts as the 3-3 series reaches its crescendo.

This is our 225th episode overall -- the 26th of 2024 -- and we welcome you back as always!

Also on the new show:

Greg, Chris and Yeti are recording in the same room for only the third time in our show’s history (after attending Saturday’s Marlins- Mariners game together).

Can you drink with a spoon? Or is consumption via spoon always eating.

Being asked to sing Happy Birthday on an airplane.

Greg was told he was trending on Twitter’s “For You Page,” and had to admit he’d never heard of it. (And, yes, it’s still Twitter to us, never X. Sorry, Elon.)

How to greet someone apparently is open for debate.

New Dad Jokes and Three Facts, Jack!
