Gravenberch REQUEST; Slot's WARNING; Chiesa's JOURNEY – Liverpool FC news recap
Here’s our round-up of all the latest Liverpool news for Friday, 13 September as Arne Slot was robbed of a maiden manager of the month award.
Slot robbed
Following his sensational start to life in the Premier League, Arne Slot has been sensationally snubbed for the season’s first Premier League Manager of the Month award.
Notching three wins under his belt, two of which were away from home, and having yet to concede a goal, Slot couldn’t have dreamt of a better three performances to open his account at Liverpool with.
Now one of only three managers in the Premier League era to win their first three games in charge, each without conceding a goal, Slot is part of an elite club - sitting alongside Jose Mourinho at Chelsea and Sven-Goran Eriksson at Manchester City.
However, in a deeply controversial move, the Premier League has given Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler recognition for his team's unbeaten start with two wins and a draw.
Liverpool youngster compared to Musiala
Liverpool have developed a habit of signing some of the brightest young prospects in the country, and they continue to build on that trend.
Ever since they brought a 16-year-old Harvey Elliott to Anfield in 2019, the Reds have consistently attracted top teenage talent from across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
The latest addition to their impressive roster is Rio Ngumoha, who is set to make his debut for the U18's this weekend, Ngumoha represents a significant step forward for Liverpool.

Chiesa is a surname that has been on the lips of Liverpool fans in recent weeks after Federico departed Turin for Merseyside, having been frozen out of Thiago Motta's plans.
But if he takes his bow on Saturday, it won't be the first time that surname has been heard over the PA system in L4.
Enrico Chiesa, the father of Liverpool's new recruit, scored a goal at Anfield during EURO 96, and his son will hope to follow in his footsteps sooner rather than later.

Slot issues Kelleher warning
Arne Slot was inevitably asked about Caoimhin Kelleher's situtation in his press conference on Friday morning.
Slot has of course received plenty of praise during his Liverpool reign so far having overseen a perfect start to the Premier League season, but a huge chunk of the admiration directed towards him is how well he addresses the media - and the way he dealt with being asked about Kelleher's desire for first-team football was undoubtedly no different.
Whilst on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, Kelleher expressed his desires to leave the club in a bid to seek regular first-team football and that the decision to remain at Anfield this season wasn't down to him.
