Grand Rapids Griffins Sign Carson Bantle to Two-Year Deal

The Grand Rapids Griffins have signed forward Carson Bantle to a two-year deal, the team announced Tuesday.

Drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the fifth round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Bantle was never signed by the team and heads to join the Griffins.

A product of Onalaska, Wis., Bantle played for the Badgers this past season, collecting 14 goals and five assists for 19 points in 39 games. Over his four-year NCAA career, Bantle played for Wisconsin and Michigan Tech.

With Bantle making the jump to the pros, he will have the chance to develop amongst young talent in Grand Rapids. While he may not play a big role to start off, Bantle proved to be a difference maker at the NCAA level and will nonetheless be a solid depth addition to the team right off the bat.
