GOTTA SEE IT: Devils' Jacob Markstrom Makes Unbelievable Save In Milestone Start

With 16 minutes left in Saturday night's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, New Jersey Devils goaltender Jacob Markstrom made another highlight reel save to add to his collection this season.

While New Jersey was shorthanded, the veteran netminder stretched out to make an unbelievable save on opposing forward Brayden Point.

"He has been unbelievable," Jack Hughes said of his goaltender. "I don't know what is going around the league in terms of goalie play, but I have to think he is right there at the top. He has been playing unreal for us. I think this is what we expected, but maybe not to this degree of how good he is."

The 34-year-old made 23 saves on 25 shots, finishing the game with a .920 save percentage. He received goal support from Ondrej Palat, Jack Hughes, and Stefan Noesen.

Saturday night's game marked Markstrom's 500th career NHL start. He celebrated his 500th NHL game on Nov. 21, 2024.
