Milne, 22, started the 2024-25 season on the Injured List and barely got to participate in the Wild's training camp. He was medically cleared and sent to Iowa on October 10.

In ten AHL games this year, Milne has four goals and four assists. He is second on the team in points behind Travis Boyd and is tied for first in goals.

“He’s played really well. I think from the start of the season he’s been the most consistent player that’s been down there," Wild head coach John Hynes said on Milne. "Fast, plays hard, he’s producing down there. He’s been consistently the top forward there, so it’s good to see. I actually haven’t really had the chance to see him because he was hurt in rookie camp then he was hurt in training camp. I didn’t get a chance to see him last year.

"So, based on his performance, his style of game, and the way he’s played, he’s the guy that got the recall and yeah, there’s a good chance he could get in. I’d still like to see some more from certain guys. I thought there was some light players tonight, so we’ll make some decisions. But we’ll see.”

He has played the last two seasons in the AHL with the Iowa Wild. He recorded eight goals, 13 assists, and 21 points in 40 games last year for Iowa. Milne was the Wild's 89th overall pick from the 2022 Draft.
