Golden Knights Return Home To Take On The Panthers
The Vegas Golden Knights are returning home from a two-game road trip to take on the Florida Panthers.
The Golden Knights went 1-1 on the road trip, beating the St. Louis Blues and losing to the Dallas Stars. Tonight they'll be back at T-Mobile Arena to take on the Stanley Cup champions.
The Panthers are currently in second place in the Atlantic Division, trailing the Toronto Maple Leafs by just one point. The Panthers lost some key players in the offseason and it's made them a bit vulnerable defensively. They currently rank 15th in goals allowed per game, 11th in shots allowed and 17th in penalty kill percentage. Sergei Bobrovsky has also struggled at times but the Golden Knights won't have to worry about him tonight.
Spencer Knight will start for the Panthers and will duel against Adin Hill. Hill and the Golden Knights blue line will be tasked with stopping the Panthers' high-powered offence. They are in the top 10 in goals scored, shots on goal and power play percentage.
Jack Eichel will need to continue his dominant play. He's currently on a five-game point streaking, scoring three goals and four assists in that span. Shea Theodore has also been on a heater recently, recording 11 points in his last seven games.
The Golden Knights remain a point back of the Edmonton Oilers for first place in the Pacific Division.
