Golden Knights Recall Two Forwards Ahead Of Road Trip

The Vegas Golden Knights have recalled forwards Tanner Laczynski and Brendan Brisson from the Henderson Silver Knights ahead of their two-game road trip.

The Golden Knights expectedly called up replacements for the injured Cole Schwindt and William Karlsson after they have both been announced week-to-week. Brett Howden's participation in tonight and tomorrow's game is in jeopardy as well. He's been dealing with an illness that held him out of practice.

Brisson began the season up with the Golden Knights, skating in seven games before he was sent down to the AHL. He struggled in the NHL recording no goals or points and his play in the AHL has been inconsistent. In 31 games with the Silver Knights, the 22-year-old has scored four goals and 14 points, on pace for lower numbers than his first two seasons.

Laczynski has been called up and sent down on numerous occasions throughout the season. With the Golden Knights, he's played in six games, scoring just one goal but with the Silver Knights, he's registered eight goals and 25 points in 25 games.

The Golden Knights will be feeling the effects of losing Karlsson and possibly Howden if he can't accompany the team on the road trip. Brisson and Laczynski will be tasked with finding ways to contribute. For Brisson, he'll need to get himself in positions to showcase his shot without sacrificing any defensive play. Laczynski will be relied upon to be trusted and effective in limited minutes in the bottom six.
