Golden Knights Prospect Selected To Finland's World Junior Camp Roster

Vegas Golden Knights prospect Tuomas Uronen has been selected to Team Finland's World Junior camp roster.

The Golden Knights' 2023 sixth-round pick (192nd overall) will be participating in the World Juniors for the first time in his career if he's not the one forward expected to be cut after the pre-tournament games. He's represented Finland at the U-18s and Hlinka Gretzky Cup previously, winning bronze at both events.

The 19-year-old is off to an impressive start to his OHL season, scoring 16 goals and 38 points in 30 games. He played in just 11 OHL games with the Ottawa 67s last year and was traded to the Kingston Frontenacs ahead of the start of the 2024-25 season.

Listed at 6'0, 194 lbs, Uronen is a skilled forward who thinks the game at a very high level. He's known more as a playmaker but flashed goal-scoring ability in his brief tenure in the OHL.

Uronen is the second Golden Knights prospect named to a World Junior team after Mathieu Cataford was named to Team Canada's roster yestreday. Trevor Connelly is expected to earn a spot on Team USA's final roster as well after he was named to their selection camp.
