Golden Knights Begin Five-Game Road Trip Against Banged-Up Maple Leafs

The Vegas Golden Knights begin their five-game road trip against a Toronto Maple Leafs roster dealing with a plethora of injuries.

The Golden Knights are dealing with their fair share of injuries, with Mark Stone, Victor Olofsson, Ben Hutton and Nicolas Hague all injured but the Maple Leafs are dealing with a serious injury bug.

Auston Matthews has missed the team's previous six games and has recently announced that David Kampf and Max Domi are on the injured reserve. Their current roster features just one of the four centres on their opening night roster. Former Golden Knight Ryan Reaves picked up a five-game suspension for his hit on Edmonton Oiler's Darnell Nurse. Calle Jarnkrok and another former Golden Knight, Max Pacioretty remain on the LTIR.

With Stone and Olofsson still out, Cal Burke and Mason Morelli have been called up to the Golden Knights. Burke will make his season debut with the Golden Knights tonight, skating on the fourth line.
