Goaltending Is No Longer A Black Hole For The Toronto Maple Leafs

If Auston Matthews is healthy enough to play on Wednesday night when the Toronto Maple Leafs travel to Sunrise to play the Stanley Cup champions, coach Craig Berube might have a difficult time finding a spot for him in the lineup.

We kid, of course. Heh-heh. But there is little doubt the Maple Leafs have been brilliant without their captain. One of the reasons why they occupy first place in the Atlantic Division is they've received the reliable and consistent goaltending in Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz they've been seeking for years.

And, really, this team doesn't require "spectacular" when it comes to its goaltending. It needs "reliable and consistent."
