Giuntoli: ‘Juventus confident’ on Kolo Muani and Araujo deals

Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli confirms they are ‘feeling confident’ that Randal Kolo Muani and Ronald Araujo can arrive from Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona respectively.

Their trip to Atalanta kicks off at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo at 19.45 GMT.

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from this game and Como-Milan on the Liveblog.

These are the Week 19 fixtures that were postponed for the Supercoppa Italiana in Riyadh, where both Atalanta and Juve lost the semi-finals.

“This is an important match, we must try to turn the tide and this can be a good opportunity,” Giuntoli told Sky Sport Italia.

Inevitably, the questions were largely about the transfer market, as there are reports today that Juventus have agreed a deal with Paris Saint-Germain to take striker Kolo Muani on a dry six-month loan, plus Araujo is pushing to leave Barcelona.

With regards to Kolo Muani, it is claimed that he will give his response tomorrow morning, also receiving interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

“Until it is finalised, I never speak about anything. Having said that, we are feeling confident,” added Giuntoli.

As for Araujo, here it is Barcelona who seem resistant to the transfer at the figures Juventus are offering.

“Juventus want to improve the quality and quantity of the players at our disposal. Nothing has been defined with anyone, but we are confident that we can give the coach some reinforcements.”
