Girona eyeing January deals for 2 Barcelona stars

The brass at Girona have set their sights on the January signatures of not one, but two out-of-favour members of the first-team ranks at La Liga rivals Barcelona.

That’s according to Relevo, who have on Saturday provided an insight into the situation.

Recent weeks have of course seen one Barcelona star, in the form of Eric García, take his place front and centre in the transfer chatter surrounding Girona.

As much comes amid the understanding that the former Manchester City man, after shining during a loan stint at the Estadi Montilivi last season, is now being eyed up on a permanent basis.

If the latest word doing the rounds this weekend is anything to go by, however, then Eric is not the only member of Hansi Flick’s squad in the sights of the Girona board.

As per a report from Relevo transfer insider Miguel Rico, the Blanquivermells are also keen on the addition of Ansu Fati.

Wide-man Ansu has of course endured a campaign to forget to date, struggling badly for game-time once more owing to a combination of fitness woes and competition for places.

A six-month loan move across Catalunya, in turn, could represent the ideal solution for all parties.
