How Girona could benefit from Man City’s next January deal
La Liga outfit Girona could find themselves the beneficiaries of an impending purchase on the part of Premier League champions Manchester City.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has on Friday provided an insight into the situation.
Man City, it is understood, are working towards securing the signature of Norwegian sensation Sverre Nypan.
Nypan, for his part, is an 18-year-old midfielder, who is currently plying his club trade in Denmark with heavyweights Rosenborg.
The youngster is primed to touch down in England on Friday evening, ahead of an opening round of negotiations with Pep Guardiola and The Etihad brass.
And, should an agreement ultimately be found between the parties, then also in line to benefit could be the aforementioned Girona.
As much would come owing to their place in ‘The City Group’, with Nypan potentially in line to link up with Míchel’s Blanquivermells on loan for the 2nd half of the campaign.
