Gillingham sign Palace forward Agbinone on loan
League Two side Gillingham have signed Crystal Palace forward Asher Agbinone on loan for the rest of the season.
Agbinone made his Palace debut as a substitute at Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on 21 October and made his first home appearance against Fulham on 9 November.
"I am really excited to see the Gills fans," the 19-year-old Eagles academy product told the club's website.
"Hopefully I can make my mark, be exciting, entertain and bring some points to the team."
Having been at Palace since the age of nine, Agbinone signed his first professional contract in 2022 and contributed nine goals and an assist in 20 appearances at youth level last season.
He joined Palace's pre-season US tour last July, scoring in their win over Wolves in Maryland.
Agbinone said the move represented the "perfect time and place" for him following John Coleman's appointment as Gillingham manager on Sunday.
Former Accrington Stanley boss Coleman and assistant Jimmy Bell will take charge until the end of the season after Mark Bonner was sacked on the same day, ending his eight-month reign.
Gillingham's 3-0 home defeat by Bromley on Thursday was their third consecutive loss and has left them 10 points off the play-off places.
Only three teams in the division have scored fewer goals than the 22 they have netted in 23 league games.
Fleetwood Town, who are three points below them in 16th, are scheduled to visit Priestfield Stadium on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
Freezing conditions have caused games to be called off across the UK, but Gillingham said their pitch was "perfectly playable" on Friday, although they will hold an inspection at 08:00 on the day of the game.
