Ghisolfi on Roma’s search for new long-term coach: “Football identity is an important criteria.”
Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi offered an update regarding the club’s selection of the new long-term manager who will be appointed at the end of the season.
Prior to last night’s win over SC Braga, Ghisolfi spoke to the media about the upcoming January window.
“I think the January transfer market is linked to the choice of the next coach, so the sooner the better,” he said.
“Am I thinking of bringing new wingers in January? Yes, with Ranieri and the owners we are working on two things: on the market to improve the team and on the next coach.”
“We want to get ahead of the times,” added Ghisolfi.
“Will the coach be Italian or foreign? I don’t know, but his football identity is an important criteria.”
