Gervonta Davis-Hector Garcia results: Tank TKOs Garcia; Boots goes the distance
The first pay-per-view of 2023 featured undefeated Gervonta Davis against unheralded and unbeaten Hector Garcia at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
Davis once again proved he is one of the world's best with a TKO of Garcia after landing several power shots at the end of Round 8. Garcia told his corner he couldn't see after taking those punches and stayed on his stool as the ninth round began giving "Tank" the 28th win of his pro career and 26th knockout. Davis' victory sets up a date with Ryan Garcia on April 15.

The co-main event, featuring rising star Jaron "Boots" Ennis against Karen Chukhadzhian, ended in a lopsided unanimous decision with Ennis winning every round on all three judges' scorecards. Chukhadzhian was game and showed off impressive footwork and defense, but Ennis' output and accuracy were the difference.
"Speedy" Rashidi Ellis faced Roiman Villa in the second fight of the pay-per-view card and entered the ring as a -700 favorite over a +500 Villa. Anyone who took the underdog walked away happy after Villa came roaring back in the final four rounds, including scoring two knockdowns in the 12th round, to upset Ellis.
In the PPV opener, Demetrius Andrade made his 168-pound debut and dominated an overmatched Demond Nicholson over 10 rounds.
