Defender Yann Bisseck didn’t put a foot wrong as he returned from injury in yesterday’s Serie A clash between Lecce and Inter Milan.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They praise the German for his mature display coming off the bench in the second half.

Inter defender Bisseck had been on the sidelines for a few matches with a muscle injury.

The 24-year-old had picked up a thigh strain during the Supercoppa Italiana.

But Yann Bisseck was able to make his return yesterday against Lecce. That was certainly a big boost for Inter’s defensive depth.

Bisseck was not in the starting eleven yesterday.

However, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi decided to turn to the German for the second half.

Defender Stefan de Vrij had picked up a booking in the first half. He had received a yellow card for a sliding challenge on Lecce striker Nikola Krstovic.

And Inzaghi’s policy of taking players off early if they see yellow is no secret.

The Nerazzurri coach turned to Bisseck to replace de Vrij.

The German may have mainly played on the right of the back three, as well as the left occasionally.

But Bisseck has proven that he has the right qualities to play in the centre of the defense when necessary.

And the 24-year-old showed that yesterday. He looked very comfortable marshalling his penalty area, and had no errors or nervy moments.
