Genie Bouchard agreed to date fan if Patriots won - and then they did
Just like everyone else, Eugenie Bouchard thought the Super Bowl was over at halftime. As it were, her lack of confidence in Tom Brady may have paved the way for one fan’s date of a lifetime.
Bouchard found herself in a pickle late Sunday night after Tom Brady and the Patriots stunned the Falcons with the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history, storming back from a 25-point deficit to win in overtime. Hours earlier, Bouchard agreed to go on a date with a follower on Twitter under one condition: that New England pull of the improbable comeback.
@geniebouchard if patriots win we go on a date?

The 22-year-old Bouchard agreed to the date when Atlanta was up 21-0, though the Patriots put up a field goal just before the half to give Twitter user @punslayintwoods a sliver of hope. By the time the fourth quarter rolled around, other fans started jumping on the bandwagon, hoping to take advantage of Bouchard’s friendly banter and the Falcons’ late meltdown.
@geniebouchard if Atlanta wins how about a date?

As the Patriots clawed their way back one touchdown at a time, Bouchard sensed the game – and bet – slipping away from her.
@geniebouchard are you getting nervous?!? Lol

Julian Edelman’s insane catch, two touchdowns, a field goal, and two two-point conversions later, and the Patriots had forced overtime. The rest is history.
@geniebouchard Chicago. Go to school in Missouri. We can go on a date where ever you want! ????
