GdS: Three definites, four possibilities – Fonseca on the fence for Milan XI vs. Monza
AC Milan make the short journey to the Stadio Brianteo on Serie A Matchday 11 and Paulo Fonseca is still deciding which eleven he will field.
Changes are expected after the loss against Napoli in midweek, and Fonseca is currently in the process of deciding the team to get his fortunes back on track after reports suggested that his position is no longer secure.
Because of this, it is guaranteed that he will once again look to the stars – Theo Hernandez, Tijjani Reijnders and Christian Pulisic – from the first minute, given all are eligible, as Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News) writes this morning.
For other players hoping for a return, their fate is not sealed. Both Fikayo Tomori and Rafael Leao will be seeking a return, but their positions are not assured. Gazzetta states that both ‘should’ be chosen but there are ballots in their positions.
Elsewhere, Luka Jovic, Tammy Abraham and Davide Calabria could be in with a chance of returning to the starting side. Presently, it seems the Italian has the highest chance of a starting place, with questions being asked of Emerson Royal again.
Either way, it must be a return to victory for Milan, especially with the challenge that awaits them in midweek.
