AC Milan currently have a four-man striker department, but whether it can be considered that remains to be seen, at least at the moment.

During the summer, Milan lost Olivier Giroud, whilst adding Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham. Luka Jovic’s contract was renewed, and Paulo Fonseca had been open to the idea of Francesco Camarda being on the fringes of the first team.

12 games into the season, and we have a good idea of where certain individuals stand.

Morata is the favoured choice, and it seems Abraham sits beside him, sometimes quite literally with Fonseca trialling the duo together at points. The third spot is there to be questioned. Right now, it seems Camarda is preferred, and it may remain this way as the season progresses, but whether this is the right idea remains up in the air.

Jovic’s career with the Rossoneri probably should’ve been over in the summer, in either scenario. At the end of the window, the club attempted to part ways with him, just after agreeing a new deal, so whichever way you look at it, his chapter probably should’ve ended then, but it seems a January departure is very possible.

How much he plays before then is also up in the air. So far his minutes have been very limited, and as Gazzetta dello Sport writes, he is still suffering from a sports pubalgia. Whilst he has remained in Belgrade for training, his chances of appearing in Milan’s clash against Juventus are minuscule, so perhaps he will not have a chance to rewrite his future in a big moment.

For Morata, though, he has recovered well, and trained with the Spanish squad this morning. Perhaps, he will feature against Denmark, and returning against Juventus seems almost guaranteed.
