GdS: Milan player ratings for win against Lecce – Morata the leader; Bartesaghi nightmare
AC Milan bagged another three points in the league last night and thus extended their winning to three games. Several players impressed for the Rossoneri, even if a youngster was harshly criticised by Gazzetta dello Sport this morning.
The pink newspaper analysed the player performances last night and, just like we do, they gave each of them a rating out of 10. The MOTM award went to Alvaro Morata who got a 7.5/10, opening the scoring with a great header and working extremely hard out of possession. In other words, a true leader performance.
The ‘worst player’, meanwhile, was given to the youngster Davide Bartesaghi who only got a 5/10 due to the red card received. However, those who saw the replays will know that it wasn’t a red card, so this is a very harsh judgement by the newspaper.
As a team, Milan were given a 7/10 and the same rating was handed to the manager Paulo Fonseca, who really has turned things around thanks to the derby win.
Gazzetta dello Sport’s Ratings
7.5: Alvaro Morata, Theo Hernandez.
7: Paulo Fonseca, Mike Maignan, Youssouf Fofana.
6.5: Christian Pulisic.
6: Emerson Royal, Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori, Tijjani Reijnders, Rafael Leao, Tammy Abraham, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Samuel Chukwueze, Yunus Musah and Luka Jovic.
5: Davide Bartesaghi.
