GdS: Milan player ratings for Juventus defeat – trio heavily criticised
It was a rough performance from AC Milan in the big game against Juventus last night, resulting in a 2-0 defeat. Three players were highlighted as very poor by Gazzetta dello Sport, while several others struggled too.
Sergio Conceicao was far from happy with his team after the full-time whistle, with Juventus dominating most of the game. Apart from a few counter-attacks in the first half, the Rossoneri really didn’t have any chances to find the back of the net.
Today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below) named Matteo Gabbia as the best performer, with a rating of 6/10. However, while he was indeed solid, he was helped by the fact that Juventus played without a proper striker.
The worst, on the other hand, was Yunus Musah at 4/10 as per the newspaper. He was lazy in tracking back, as seen on the first goal, and his touches in possession were far from good. Tammy Abraham also received a 4 from the newspaper.
Sergio Conceicao was handed a 4/10 as well with Milan struggling to find any play whatsoever. They also looked worse after the first half, and you would have expected the opposite.
Gazzetta dello Sport’s player ratings
6: Matteo Gabbia.
5.5: Mike Maignan, Ismael Bennacer, Tijjani Reijnders, Alex Jimenez.
5: Fikayo Tomori, Theo Hernandez, Youssouf Fofana, Rafael Leao.
4.5: Emerson Royal.
4: Sergio Conceicao, Yunus Musah, Tammy Abraham.
