GdS: ‘Lille jewel’ is Milan’s ‘big target’ – why Fonseca wants Bouaddi
Ayyoub Bouaddi was launched by Paulo Fonseca last season, and the Portuguese head coach would like to bring him to AC Milan now.
Considerations are already being made for the summer mercato, and Milan have placed 17-year-old Bouaddi near the top of their list, according to this morning’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport. According to the report, talks could begin for the midfielder shortly, considering there is already a lot of interest in the player.
The Rossoneri hold two advantages – they began their interest before other interested parties did, and they are led by Fonseca, the coach who jumpstarted the youngster’s career.
He can play as a more defensive midfielder, or as an 8, which is one of the main attractions of his profile. Solid when intercepting and recovering, he also is notably strong with the ball at his feet, and he could become valuable for the Diavolo.
It seems that he will cost around €25-30 million, and given Milan have already made two attempts to bring him to the club (the January and summer mercatos this year), they will know the requirements in place from Lille.
The report suggests that Tijjani Reijnders and Youssouf Fofana could be added to with the youngster’s profile who would prioritise the ‘defensive phase’. Perhaps, completing the midfield.
