AC Milan’s game against Bologna was meant to take place this evening but now risks being pushed months down the line, a report claims.

In the past 24 hours, Milan have been waiting for a decision about the status of their clash against Bologna, and it finally arrived on Friday evening. The game will be postponed after hours of trying to find a solution, and at one point the club had four different travel plans booked in.

The decision has aroused the anger of the Rossoneri leadership who believe that Lega Serie A should have been stronger in pushing for the game to be played, and now the question concerns when the game will actually be played.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bologna-Milan will ‘be played midweek in February’. However, when is not yet known because there are further complexities to consider when it comes to the scheduling.

The 11-12 and 18-19 are circled for Champions League play-off rounds, with the worst case scenario being both teams being in the middle 16 and thus both being involved.

The beginning and end of the month are already set for the Coppa Italia quarter-finals so it will therefore depend on the progress of the two teams in the other competitions. However, the feeling si that a date will emerge that both teams have free.
