Gavi sends public message to Lamine Yamal after Kopa Trophy win

Barcelona star Gavi has taken to social media to send a message of congratulations to teammate and compatriot Lamine Yamal.

This, of course, comes after Lamine added to his silverware cabinet in high-profile fashion on Monday.

Nominated owing to nothing short of an explosion onto the world football stage over the last 12 months, wide-man Lamine last night saw his talents recognised, by way of the Kopa Trophy.

Handed out on an annual basis by France Football to the best performing player across world football aged 21 or younger, Barcelona’s latest attacking sensation was a deserving winner, beating out competition from the likes of Arda Güler, Kobbie Mainoo and Savinho.

Messages of congratulations, in turn, have since come pouring in for Lamine from across the world of football.

And, as alluded to above, adding his name to this list late last night was teammate Gavi.

A former winner of the Kopa Trophy himself, midfielder Gavi took to his official Instagram account to unveil a photo of he, Lamine and Pedri, accompanied by the caption:

‘More than deserved brother’
