Gatineau Olympiques 2024-25 Season Preview

The Gatineau Olympiques are a team with a few question marks as they will try to

So far they have two goalies that will likely battle for the starting job.

18-year old Zach Pelletier was among the top goalie prospects ranked to have gone undrafted in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-3 goaltender posted an .875 save percentage across 43 games.

Right behind him is 6-foot-5, 2025 NHL Draft eligible Kian Hodgins, who put up similar numbers as Pelletier last season, ending off with an .875 over 31 games.

It will be interesting to see if Gatineau rocks the two goalie tandem all season, or if one of them is moved to a better situation, so that both can have the best shot of getting guaranteed QMJHL playing time, leading to hopefully more NHL interest.

Speaking of the NHL, Tampa Bay's recent fourth rounder, Slovenian import, Jan Golicic will return after a strong rookie campaign. He potted 29 points over 65 games.

Rounding out the notables on the blueline is 18-year old Nolan Ling, who is coming off of a 27-point season (5+22), after being picked off of waivers from the OHL.

Their two overagers up front are returners in center Jeremie Minville (79 in 68) and left winger Nathan Levesque (60 in 68), both coming off of career years.

The team also boasts 19-year old right winger Justin Boiselle (43 in 44) and 18-year old left winger Justin Dumais (23 in 66).

Overall, the team has some really good up-front talent, and have used their overage slots wisely, but on paper, the team lacks depth up front.
