Gamecock recruit roundup: Cutter Woods, Jaquel Holman put up big numbers in victories
After two weeks off because of Hurricane Helene, Cutter Woods returned to action on Friday night.
The South Carolina commitment and Westside High senior quarterback put up some big numbers against Emerald. Woods was 16-of-26 passing for 352 yards and three touchdowns as the top-ranked Rams won, 42-17. The 352 yards are second most in a game from Woods in his career.
Westside is now 5-0 on the season.
Woods wasn’t the only Gamecock commit with a big game as Blackville Hilda’s Jaquel Holman carried it nine times for 206 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Wagener-Salley.

USC Class of 2025 Commits
Anthony Addison, DE, Sumter: Addison was off this week. For the season, he has 61 tackles (15.5 for loss), 4.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.
Taeshawn Alston, DE, Vance County (NC): Alston had four tackles in a win over South Granville. For the season, he has 26 tackles, 7.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks.
Malik Clark, WR, Rock Hill: Clark had four catches for 133 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Nation Ford. For the season, he has 746 yards and eight receiving touchdowns.
Lex Cyrus, WR, Susquehanna Township (Pa.): Cyrus had six catches for 101 yards and a touchdown catch, and had a 57 yard TD run in a win over Big Spring. For the season, he has 43 catches for 688 yards and eight total TDs.
Donovan Darden, DE/LB, Havelock (NC): Darden had seven tackles (one for loss) in a win over Jacksonville. For the season, he has 43 tackles (12 for loss) and three sacks.
Jaquavious Dodd, DL, Eastside: Eastside lost to Riverside, 33-8. Going into the game, he had 27 tackles (11 for loss), five sacks, six QB pressures and two caused fumbles.
Preston Douglas, TE, The Benjamin School: The Benjamin School’s game was canceled because of Hurricane Milton.
Jordon Gidron, WR, Ridge View: Gidron is out with a leg injury but hopes to return soon. For the season, he has 17 catches for 121 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Chris Hatfield, DB, Long County (Ga.): Long County defeated Windsor Forest, 25-0. Going into the game, Hatfield has 21 tackles (two for loss) and an interception.
AJ Holloway, LB, Buford (Ga.): Holloway had two tackles in a win over Dacula. For the season, he has 34 tackles, seven QB hurries, six tackles for loss and a sack.
Jaquel Holman, ATH, Blackville-Hilda: Holman carried it nine times for 206 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Wagener-Salley. For the season, he has rushed for 854 yards, 12 touchdowns and caught four passes for 60 yards. On defense, he has 25 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.
Max Kelley, K, Galltin (Tenn.): Galltin was off this week For the season, Kelley is 4 of 6 on field goals and 13 of 15 on extra points. He also is averaging 42.6 yards per punt.
Demarcus Leach, QB/S, Abbeville: Leach had two TD passes and only played about a quarter in a win over Calhoun Falls.
Brian Rowe, WR, Jay M Robinson (NC): Rowe had four catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns in a win over West Rowan. For the season, he has 24 catches for 530 yards and seven touchdowns.
Kobby Sakyi-Prah, DE, Roswell (Ga.): Sakyi-Prah had one tackle in a win over Chattahoochie. For the season, he has 34 tackles, 10 sacks, 16 tackles for loss and eight QB pressures.
Jayden Sellers, WR, South Florence: Sellers had four catches for 84 yards and a TD in a win over Lakewood. For the season, he has 36 catches for 582 yards, five touchdowns and 118 rushing yards, four TDs and a special teams TD.
Cutter Woods, QB, Westside: Woods was 16 of 26 passing for 352 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Emerald. For the season, he is 73 of 116 passing for 1,401 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Anthony Baxter, OL, South Pointe: One of anchors on South Pointe’s offensive line. The Stallions beat York, 42-0.
Keenan Britt, DL, Oxford (Ala.): Oxford was off this week. For the season, he has 57 tackles (nine for loss) and four sacks.
Rodney Colton, LB, Newnan (Ga.): Colton had six tackles in a loss to Langston Hughes. For the season, he has 29 tackles (three for loss), a sack and five QB pressures.
Jamel Howse, Newberry: Howse had his first TD catch of the season in a win over Fox Creek.
