A Gamecock first: South Carolina women’s basketball season tickets are sold out
On the heels of its historic undefeated national championship season, South Carolina women’s basketball has sold out of season tickets for the first time in program history.
USC announced Wednesday that a record number 13,046 season tickets have been assigned for the 2024-25 campaign, including all lower-level seats. Colonial Life Arena has a capacity of 18,000. The remaining 4,954 tickets will be sold on a single-game basis beginning Oct. 14.
“Year after year, our FAMS outdo themselves,” coach Dawn Staley said in a release. “When I first came to South Carolina, I didn’t really imagine what the fanbase would look like, but what the people in this community, this state have done to uplift our program is beyond my wildest dreams.”
South Carolina has led the nation in average attendance for the last 10 seasons. This upcoming season’s season ticket number marks the seventh time (fourth consecutive) since 2015-16 with at least 10,000 season tickets sold. Ninety-three percent of 2023-24 season ticket holders renewed for 2024-25. Nearly 1,200 new buyers purchased season tickets.
On Tuesday, the Gamecocks announced they’re launching the Fast Break Pass. This pass is an “add-on to the game ticket” that allows fans to enter CLA 30 minutes before doors open so they can beat long lines. Season passes will cost $100, while single-game passes will range from $12 to $20 depending on the game. Season pass sales begin Oct. 11, while single-game sales start the following week (Oct. 18).
