Game Day Trade Revisit: Columbus & Montreal Flip Anderson For Domi

The most recent trade aside from the Patrik Laine deal that happened this off-season is the Max Domi and the 2020 third round pick (Samuel Knazko) for Josh Anderson swap that happened in October 2020.

This trade addressed a significant need for Columbus—a skilled, playmaking center to bolster their offensive depth. Domi, a former 28-goal scorer, brought versatility, energy, and grit.

His production in Montreal dipped in his final season, Columbus banked on his previous success and hoped a fresh start would reignite his game.
