Yahoo Sports Game #34: Ducks vs. Flyers Gameday Preview
In the first game of matinee back-to-backs, the Ducks will face the Philadelphia Flyers. It is the Ducks’ first game after the Christmas break and their first time facing the Flyers this season.
“I don't remember ever having back-to-back home games,” Troy Terry said. “It’ll be exciting to have those early games at home. Preparation-wise, I would say some of the stuff I do in the morning for my legs and that type of stuff, I'll do tonight and tomorrow night as opposed to in the morning. Overall, it's pretty easy (to) just wake up and have breakfast (before an afternoon game).”

“(The Flyers) skate fast, move the puck fast (and) attack aggressively,” Ducks head coach Greg Cronin said. “You’ll see the (defense) down the walls, they pinch to the hash marks. They just put a lot of pressure on you. It's a go, go, go team, just try and create turnovers. So we've got to be on our toes ready to go try and counterattack against the pressure. It's easier said than done. They play a fast-paced, relentless, 60-minute game.”
“Philadelphia is very hardworking,” Terry said. “I think they're very structured and they play the game the right way. (We’ve got to make) sure we match that and stick to what we've been doing, carrying that swagger that I felt like we had the last couple of games and bring that out of the break.”
This matchup is the first time Jamie Drysdale and Cutter Gauthier will face their former organizations after they were traded for one another in January.
