Galliani states that there is a lot of ‘chatter’ about Monza’s move for Jovic
AC Milan are hoping to shift Luka Jovic this month, but it may not be as simple as once hoped, with Adriano Galliani playing hardball.
The decision to sign Jovic in the summer has only been criticised since. In the weeks after his renewal, Milan were already looking to sell the striker, and things have only gotten worse in the months that followed.
Jovic has failed to play a role in the season due to injuries and with Paulo Fonseca overlooking him for most of his tenure, it is a difficult player to sell.
However, interest has existed. Galatasaray had looked at the possibility of adding him to the squad before the New Year, and since then, Monza have been the strongest option for the striker.
If the Biancorossi are to make a move though, it will not be until late in the window it seems, as revealed by Adriano Galliani, and Milan News relayed his words.
“I’m for a much shorter market, it stays open for a month, but then the operations are done in the last 48 hours. Everyone waits… If the market stayed open for a week everything would be done in a week, instead, it stays open for a month and there is a lot of chatter. For the moment, a lot of chatter.”
