Gabe Perreault Set To Serve Important Role At World Juniors
New York Rangers prospect Gabe Perreault will serve as an assistant captain for the 2025 U.S. National Junior Team.
“We’ve got tremendous leadership, which is important in a short tournament like this,” said David Carle, head coach of the U.S. National Junior Team in the official press release. “Congratulations to those selected to wear letters, and beyond those five players, we know that everyone on our team will play a role in our success.”
The Rangers drafted Perreault with the 23rd overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft and he continues to rise up the ranks of the NHL’s best prospects.
At Boston College last season, the 19-year-old forward recorded 19 goals, 41 assists and 60 points in 36 games.
This year, Perreault has tallied seven goals, 16 assists and 23 points in 16 games.
The 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship will take place from Dec. 26, 2024-Jan. 5, 2025, in Ottawa, Ontario.
