Furious Roma fans send players away after Union SG draw
Roma fans supported the team during an away Europa League game at Union Saint-Gilloise but sent the players away after the final whistle and a 1-1 draw.
Ivan Juric’s Roma are still in hot water, and players had to face the fans’ anger again after another disappointing Europa League draw on Thursday.
Circa 1,200 Giallorossi supporters travelled to Brussels for the mid-week European fixture. Il Romanista reports that the team didn’t lack support from the away end during the 90 minutes.

However, another disappointing result on the pitch upset the travelling fans, who ‘whistled and insulted’ the team when players went under the away sector to wave at their supporters.
Eloquent gestures suggested the team to leave the pitch, so the Giallorossi players quickly returned inside the tunnel.
Il Romanista notes that Mats Hummels led the group despite spending the entire game on the bench.
Evan Ndicka was unavailable yesterday, but Juric deployed Bryan Cristante in central defence rather than the ex-Borussia Dortmund star.
