Funny Slafkovsky Q & A By The NHLPA
There's nothing like a quick Q & A to learn a thing or two about Montreal Canadiens' players. Yesterday, the NHLPA published one with Juraj Slafkovsky and while some of the answers were a bit predictable, there's one in particular that made me chuckle.
Unsurprisingly, the young Slovak's favourite hobby outside of hockey (and I do hope that hockey is more than a hobby for him) is golf, it's easy to hear fans of every other teams say un unison "lucky he plays for the Canadiens, then", so I thought I'd save them the trouble.
For what people may not know about him, he wrote that he doesn't sing in the shower, which I thought was quite funny, does anyone actually see Slafkovsky as someone who likes to give a show while doing anything but playing hockey?
According to the short piece, the Canadiens' left winger's favorite sports team was FC Barcelona, that's different. Most hockey players indicate a hockey team rather than s club that plays another sport. Still interesting to know he grew up rooting for a Spanish football club though.

His taste in video games is hardly surprising, like most young people, he's a fan of the Call of Duty franchise citing Warzone as his favorite title. Still par for the course, on the last show he binged-watched question, he put down Love Island USA.
As for a vacation destination he's yet to visit but would like to go to, he answered the Maldives, we might just have learned what he'll be doing during the 4 Nations Face-Off there.
The one thing you can always find in his fridge is apple juice, not a bad choice at all, I'll admit that got me through law school. Everyone was carbureting to coffee and yet, I was the most awake of the bunch with my apple juice, go figure.
Of all the things he's had to autograph so far, they weirdest was a leg. The story doesn't say how long ago that was, but I'm guessing a kid was forced by his parents to wash that off.
Finally, it appears he's a cat person, admitting to having three cats and two dogs. Hopefully, that's at his parents' in Slovakia because the poor animals would be quite lonely in Montreal with all the travel. Funnily enough, he's been told he looks like a certain animal before; a dinosaur...it doesn't say if Cole Caufield made the comment though.
As for the favourite memory of his career so far, he answered the bronze medal at the Olympics, I find it quite interesting he went for something collective that must have made so many people happy. He could easily have said they day he was drafted, but he steered clear of that. Surely a Stanley Cup win would overtake that bronze medal wouldn't it? Not so obvious, it was after all the country first ever Olympics medal in hockey...
