Fulham 0-3 Arsenal FC LIVE! Odegaard goal - Premier League result, match stream and latest updates today
Arsenal restored their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Fulham on Sunday and carved out a small slice of top-flight history in the process.
Gabriel, Gabriel Martinelli and captain Martin Odegaard all scored in the first half as the Gunners became the first team to win five consecutive away London derbies without conceding a single goal.
Leandro Trossard provided a trio of assists as Mikel Arteta’s side took advantage of Fulham’s porous defence at Craven Cottage.
Marco Silva’s Fulham Cottagers, who had lost only once in their previous seven home games in all competitions, are eighth in the league.
Gabriel, who also netted his debut goal against Fulham in 2020, put Arsenal on the scoreboard in the 21st minute with a header from inside a crowded six-yard box off Trossard’s corner kick.
Trossard teed up Martinelli in the 26th minute when his arching cross dropped at the far post for an easy header, the Brazilian’s 12th goal of the season. Only four Premier League players have scored more.
Seconds before halftime, Odegaard took two touches to control Trossard’s cross before smashing the ball past Fulham -- and former Arsenal -- keeper Bernd Leno.
The Gunners began the day with second-placed Manchester City hot on their heels after a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday pulled the reigning champs within two points.
Brazilian Gabriel Jesus earned a roar from Gunners fans when he entered the game in the 77th minute, his first action since a knee injury suffered at the World Cup in November. Jesus nearly scored in the 85th, but his shot from close range went straight to the keeper.

Fulham outplayed and outfought in worst performance of the season in Arsenal thrashing
16:55 , Jonathan Gorrie
There have been good days and there have been great days for Fulham of late. This was neither. It was perhaps their worst display of the season.
They can be outscored and sometimes outplayed, but they are rarely outfought. They comfortably were at Craven Cottage here.
Marco Silva’s team came across League leaders who have the beast of Manchester City breathing down their necks. Arsenal know they cannot slip up, and Fulham kindly allowed them to run free and score freely.

Arsenal continue march towards title with imperious display at Fulham
16:54 , Jonathan Gorrie
Arsenal are once again five points clear at the top of the Premier League after a dream afternoon for Mikel Arteta.
Against Bournemouth last week, the Gunners had to come from two goals down and score a 97th-minute to earn three points.
It was a completely different story at Fulham, however, as they had the game wrapped up by half-time.
Arsenal were three goals to the good by that point and it would not be exaggerating to say the lead could have been double that.

Fulham player ratings vs Arsenal: Antonee Robinson endures nightmare game with Andreas Pereira wasteful
16:23 , Jonathan Gorrie
Fulham put in one of their weakest performances of the season as league leaders Arsenal comfortably beat them 3–0 at Craven Cottage.
Marco Silva’s side were looking for a reaction to their 3–2 defeat to Brentford on Monday, but they were behind when Gabriel headed Leandro Trossard’s corner into the net.
In a flowing move five minutes later, Trossard crossed for Gabriel Martinelli to nod home the second.
And it was three in first half stoppage time when the Belgian grabbed his third assist of the match as Martin Odegaard found the corner coolly.
It didn’t get any worse for Fulham in the second half, but a defeat of this margin will dent their confidence of securing a European place for next season.

Arsenal player ratings vs Fulham: Leandro Trossard enjoys best game yet as Martin Odegaard oozes class
16:03 , Jonathan Gorrie
Arsenal are five points clear at the top of the Premier League after beating Fulham.
The Gunners were 3-0 winners at Craven Cottage, with all their goals coming in the first-half as they responded to Manchester City beating Crystal Palace on Saturday night.
Gabriel opened the scoring by heading home from a corner. Gabriel Martinelli made it 2-0 and Martin Odegaard added a third just before the break.
A perfect afternoon for Arsenal was rounded off by Gabriel Jesus making his first appearance since injuring his knee at the World Cup in December.

Fulham 0-3 Arsenal: Leandro Trossard makes Premier League history as Gunners cruise to routine win
15:55 , Jonathan Gorrie
Arsenal maintained their five-point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League table with a routine win over London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage.
After the visitors saw Antonee Robinson’s own goal ruled out by VAR, Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard scored first-half goals as Mikel Arteta’s side ran out comfortable winners in west London.
Such a commanding performance, admittedly against a Fulham side missing the combative Joao Palhinha, off the back of a draining trip to Sporting on Thursday is nothing short of a statement.
Rarely has a team had to balance a Europa League campaign with attempts to win the Premier League but the Gunners certainly passed their test on that front with nothing short of flying colours.
In truth, the 3-0 scoreline flattered the hosts at half-time.

Slightly more even first 15 minutes of the second half here, but let’s be honest: we’re starting from a very low base. That was as one-sided a first half as you will see in this division. It couldn’t get much worse for Fulham. And so far, it hasn’t.

Bernd Leno was really looking forward to facing his former employers when I spoke with him a fortnight ago. Now I’m sure he feels quite different. Any enjoyment is, it seems, over before it’s really begun. Fulham can’t cope with free-flowing Arsenal at the moment.

Big let-off for Fulham that disallowed goal. The way Xhaka was able to send Martinelli through in behind was concerning from a Fulham perspective. They must track the runs of Arsenal’s wide forwards better.

Willian will be a significant miss for Fulham today, with a slight injury keeping him out. But the most noticeable absence for Marco Silva’s side will undoubtedly be defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha. The summer signing from Sporting has been superb this season. Today he serves the second of a two-match suspension for picking up too many yellows.

Arsenal ‘let down’ by VAR again as Howard Webb urged into action
12:46 , Jonathan Gorrie
Arsenal were “let down” by VAR during Saturday’s dramatic Premier League win over Bournemouth, according to former Premier League referee Graham Poll.
Reiss Nelson scored a last-gasp winner to maintain the Gunners’ five-point lead over Manchester City as Mikel Arteta’s came from behind at the Emirates Stadium.
The hosts conceded the quickest goal in the Premier League this season when Philip Billing scored within the opening nine seconds of the game.
Arsenal cleared of any wrongdoing after FA investigate Gunners for celebrating goal
12:30 , Jonathan Gorrie
The Football Association (FA) have decided against charging Arsenal for the nature of their celebrations following the last-minute winner against Bournemouth.
Reiss Nelson scored in the 98th minute to send the Emirates Stadium wild as it capped a comeback from two goals down to secure three important points in the Premier League title race.
Referee Chris Kavanagh noted the celebrations in his referee’s report, prompting an investigation by the FA.

Xhaka delivers double Arsenal trophy vow as Jesus plan altered
12:06 , Jonathan Gorrie
Granit Xhaka insists Arsenal have the squad depth to fight for both the Europa League and Premier League this season.
Arsenal are five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League as they chase a first title since 2004.
The Gunners are also in the last-16 of the Europa League, and they were held to a 2-2 draw by Sporting Lisbon in the Portuguese capital on Thursday night.
Leno exclusive: No bad blood with Arsenal... I hope they win the title
12:00 , Jonathan Gorrie
When Bernd Leno reflects on the £3million that Fulham paid to sign him from Arsenal last summer, he says with a smile: “I have to say it’s a bargain. It’s very, very cheap, especially in the Premier League. I am not £3m — I’m probably worth a little bit more. Otherwise I would be a very bad player!”
That transfer fee could rise to £8m with add-ons being met, but it still looks a steal. The 31-year-old German goalkeeper has excelled since his switch to Craven Cottage and is playing a crucial role in Fulham’s unlikely push for Europe under Marco Silva.
Fulham will be three points off the Champions League places if they win Monday’s west London derby at Brentford, and there is an argument that Leno has been one of the signings of the season.
He has rebuilt his career since being replaced by Aaron Ramsdale as Arsenal No1. Leno was hurt by his departure from Emirates Stadium, but says he has no ill-feeling towards his former club.

Arteta fires warning over key Arsenal problem that could derail title hunt
11:42 , Jonathan Gorrie
Mikel Arteta has warned that Arsenal are currently conceding “too many simple goals” as they approach the business end of a huge season for the club.
The Gunners laboured to a 2-2 draw against Sporting Lisbon in Portugal on Thursday night, a result which will frustrate despite still leaving them in the driving seat to qualify for the Europa League quarter-finals as they host the last-16 second leg at Emirates Stadium next week.
Premier League leaders Arsenal lacked their usual cohesion and rhythm at the Estadio Jose Alvalade, having made six changes to their starting XI amid a busy fixture list and a potentially tricky London derby looming against high-flying Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
Prediction: Narrow Arsenal win
11:32 , Jonathan Gorrie
Fulham continue to enjoy a superb season back in the Premier League and will be hoping to take advantage of any tired legs in the Arsenal side after their European assignment.
But the Gunners will be strengthened by the return of the spine of their side, are on a run of results that shows they believe they can get a result from any situation.
They are likely to be tested again, but Mikel Arteta’s side should have enough to keep their title bid on track.
Arsenal to win, 2-1.
Arsenal team news: Martin Odegaard expected to play
11:31 , Jonathan Gorrie
Martin Odegaard missed the midweek game against Sporting with illness but should recover in time to face Fulham, with Kieran Tierney also likely to return to the squad. Eddie Nketiah though is set to miss out again with an ankle injury.
The match will come too soon for Gabriel Jesus who continues to step up his recovery, but Emile Smith Rowe could make his first start of the season, and Thomas Partey, Aaron Ramsdale and Gabriel can all be expected to return to the starting XI.
Fulham team news: Palhinha suspended but no fresh injury concerns
11:31 , Jonathan Gorrie
Joao Palhinha remains out for Fulham, as he serves the second match of his suspension for picking up ten yellow cards, and Cedric Soares is ineligible to feature against his parent club.
Otherwise there are no fresh injury concerns for Marco Silva to deal with. Manor Solomon will look to score for the sixth match in a row, while Willian is expected to start against his former side.
