In one of the most competitive Premier League seasons in recent memory, Fulham are well and truly banging on the door for a spot in Europe for the next campaign.

Fulham fans must have cast an eye over the month of December when the fixtures were released and winced but, amazingly, they have come through it unscathed while sat in eighth place.

Marco Silva's side have taken points off Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea while taking their unbeaten run to seven - their best under the Portuguese boss.

After twice taking the lead against Bournemouth, Fulham were disappointed to be pegged back and end the year with a point.

Silva told BBC Match of the Day: "We go with the strange feeling that we should have taken more points.

"We should have more impact on the table but seven games unbeaten after playing every three games is a great run from us."

With struggling Ipswich Town visiting west London next, Fulham have a real chance in taking their unbeaten run to eight games as they continue to rack up the points.
