France predicted XI v Portugal: Eduardo Camavinga and Randal Kolo Muani in, Adrien Rabiot and Marcus Thuram out

France are expected to make two changes against Portugal, one enforced, one by chance, as they look to qualify for the semi-finals of Euro 2024.

Adrien Rabiot is out of the fixture. The now-former Juventus midfielder received his second yellow card of the tournament, against Belgium in the Round of 16. He is therefore suspended against Portugal. Eduardo Camavinga and Youssouf Fofana were the favourites to replace Rabiot. It is the former, who has so far in Euro 2024 made two substitute appearances, that is set to earn the spot in midfield, alongside N’Golo Kanté and Aurélien Tchouaméni.

Les Bleus’ other change may be by choice. L’Équipe understands that Marcus Thuram, who has struggled so far in the tournament, will make way for Randal Kolo Muani. The Paris Saint-Germain forward came off the bench against Belgium and it was his deflected effort that secured France’s progression.
