France predicted XI v Italy: Michael Olise set for debut, Bradley Barcola to start
Michael Olise will make his France debut against Italy on Friday night, likely starting in a No.10 position behind Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé.
Having opted to play for France over the likes of England, Nigeria and Algeria, Olise excelled in Thierry Henry’s Olympics team earlier this summer, earning a silver medal for Les Bleus in Paris. The Bayern Munich playmaker has been rewarded with a place in the senior side, and against Italy, he is set to make his debut.
On the right, it is Randal Kolo Muani who will get the chance to impress Didier Deschamps, whilst, as expected, Bradley Barcola will feature on the left, with captain Mbappé set to move into the centre. Ferland Mendy, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Wesley Fofana, all of whom have already left the France camp through injury, are unavailable.
