UEFA have confirmed François Letexier as the referee for the upcoming EURO 2024 final between England and Spain on Sunday as the competition ends. The French referee will be a recognisable name among fans of Ligue 1 as one of the more prestigious referees in the division.

Letexier has already been a referee in three matches to date. The Ligue 1 regular took charge of Spain v Georgia in the Round of 16, and Denmark v Serbia and Croatia v Albania during the group stages. He will be a familiar figure to fans of Manchester City as he officiated the UEFA Super Cup final against Sevilla in 2023.

Letexier will be accompanied by several compatriots in refereeing the final of EURO 2024. French assistants Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmoun will join him on the pitch in Berlin. Whilst, Jérôme Brisard and Willy Delajod will be acting as VAR officials for the pivotal match of the competition between England and Spain.
