The mayor for Fort Nelson, B-C says he's sad for the property owners of the four homes recently destroyed by wildfire.

But Rob Fraser says he's also relieved and happy that everybody's getting an opportunity to come home.

He says the evacuation order that has forced 47-hundred residents from their homes in Fort Nelson and the Fort Nelson First Nation since May 10th is being lifted this morning at 8 o'clock local time.

Fraser says some of the six properties also damaged by the Parker Lake fire are still extremely dangerous and access to them will be limited to only the property owners and anyone working for them. (4)
