Paris Saint-Germain players Vitinha, João Neves, Warren Zaïre-Emery and Gianluigi Donnarumma were among the nominees at last night’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, which celebrates the world’s best footballers.

Last night, the 68th annual ceremony for football's most prestigious individual award of all, the Ballon d'Or, took place at Paris's Théâtre du Châtelet, where several of Paris Saint-Germain's footballing ambassadors were honoured over the course of the evening.

First up was Vitinha, who came 27th in the ranking for the Ballon d'Or itself. The capital club's midfielder was one of the key architects behind his side's success last season, as he helped Les Rouge et Bleu to the Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de France, the Trophée des Champions and the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Meanwhile, following their highly promising 2023–2024 campaigns, Warren Zaïre-Emery and João Neves both earned respectable positions in the ranking for the Kopa Trophy, which aims to reward the previous season's best male player under the age of 21, with the Paris academy graduate finishing eighth and the Portugal international finishing sixth.

Finally, Gianluigi Donnarumma was also rewarded for his efforts with Les Rouge et Bleu last season in the form of a fourth-place finish in the ranking for the Yashin Trophy, which is given to the previous campaign's best goalkeeper.
