In the upcoming days, FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick will need to make some big decisions. There is no longer any time for the club to stall making decisive moves. Now, with Flick expected to arrive in Barcelona soon, there is simply no excuse as to why these decisions must be stalled.

It is rumored that the new Barcelona coach will be in the city this week, and there are some decisions that still need to be sorted. While the club may already have started work on some potential arrives for this summer, other internal decisions still need to be made at Barcelona.

According to Mundo Deportivo, those decisions will need to be the first actions Hansi Flick takes once he comes into the Barcelona facilities within this weeks. From possibly letting go of players to meeting them for the first time, there are the decisions the Barcelona head coach will need to make.

Perhaps the very first step that Hansi Flick will need to take after all is introducing himself to his new club. Barcelona still has to confirm the coach’s new presentation date, but at the moment, the club believes it should be done a week before the trip to the United States of America for the preseason tour.

The likes of Inigo Martinez and Sergi Roberto are still sort of out in limbo as it stands. Both Spanish veterans who are no longer registered with Barcelona are not living with any guarantees. However, that is why it will be upto the new Barcelona coach to assess them and report to the club if he believes either of the two is worth keeping for the upcoming campaign.

There will likely be an influx of returning loanees at FC Barcelona this season. Some players, such as Sergino Dest, already have their futures sorted even before they arrived back properly. However, others such as Clement Lenglet, Eric Garcia, Alex Valle, Julian Araujo, and Pablo Torre are still yet to receive their orders. Some, such as Lenglet, seem almost destined to be offloaded, while others such as Valle and Araujo still have a chance to provide some sporting use to Barcelona.

When the preseason starts for Hansi Flick and Barcelona on the 10th of July, they will be missing the services of many of their most important first team players. Since those players would still be on international leave, the coach will instead look towards the quarry and subsidiary to create a temporary team for himself. This screening process will eventually help Flick decide who gets to stay with the first team next season and who returns to the youth ranks.
