Former Wild Forward Signs In KHL

Former Minnesota Wild forward and Minnesota native, has signed a one-year contract with the Kunlun Red Star Professional Chinese Hockey CLub of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

Kyle Rau was the Florida Panthers' third-round pick from the 2011 NHL Draft. He played 33 games with the Panthers before joining the Wild's orgazation.

The former Minnesota Golden Gophers standout played in 28 games with the Wild across four NHL seasons and five total seasons in the orgazation. He had four assists and 47 hits with Minnesota.

He recorded 88 goals, 111 assists, and 199 points in 244 career games with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Rau, 32, left the Wild's organaaztion in 2021 and spent a year with the Vancouver Canucks' AHL team and the San Jose Sharks AHL team before signing a contract in the KHL.
