Former Wild Forward Scores Hat Trick With New Team
The former Minnesota Wild forward Jason Zucker scored a hat trick against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night with his new team the Buffalo Sabres.
Zucker, 32, signed a one-year contract with the Sabres before the start of the 2024-25 NHL season. He scored three goals and had an assist in the Sabres' 6-5 overtime loss to the Avalanche.

In 39 games for the Sabres, Zucker has 14 goals, 16 assists, and 30 points. He is on pace for 29 goals and 63 points in 82 games if he keeps this up.
The 5-foot-11 forward spent nine seasons in Minnesota where he posted 132 goals, 111 assists, and 243 points in 456 games. He scored 30 or more goals once with the Wild and had 20 or more goals in a season five times with the Wild.
It was Zucker's hat trick is the third of his career and his first since March 7, 2019 at Tampa Bay when he was on the Wild.
