Former TCU quarterback, Aledo star Hauss Hejny headed to Big 12 rival?

Former TCU quarterback Hauss Hejny is expected to transfer to Oklahoma State after entering the transfer portal in December.

Former TCU quarterback Hauss Hejny has found a new home.

The former Aledo standout is expected to join former inside wide receivers coach Doug Meacham at Oklahoma State as the future of the Cowboys offense. Meacham was hired as the offensive coordinator in Stillwater earlier this month.

Hejny entered the portal a few days before TCU’s 34-3 win over Louisiana in the New Mexico Bowl after appearing in four games this season. Hejny had 15 carries for 65 yards including 48 yards in the win over Cincinnati in the regular season finale.

After taking a redshirt this season, Hejny had hoped to compete for the starting quarterback spot next season. But it was made clear that the job would still be Josh Hoover’s after Hoover led the team to a 9-4 record and also became the new record holder for most passing yards in a single season.

Hejny was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and is also a TCU legacy. Now he’ll suit up for one of the Horned Frogs’ conference rivals. TCU and Oklahoma State aren’t on each other’s schedules next season.

The future at quarterback for TCU will now be four-star signee Adam Schobel, who is also a TCU legacy and just led Columbus to a 3A Division I state championship. Schobel was also voted Mr. Texas Football by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football after a stellar senior season.
